Services: Provides furniture and basic household items free to families referred by partner organizations for setting up homes and transitioning from crisis or homelessness.

Home Sweet Home STL

Habitat for Humanity ReStore – South Side

Address: 3830 South Grand Blvd, St. Louis, MO 63118

Services: Nonprofit store selling new and gently used furniture, appliances, and home goods at reduced prices; proceeds support Habitat housing programs.

Hours: Tuesday–Sunday 10:00 am–6:00 pm; Monday Closed. 

Habitat for Humanity ReStore – Des Peres

Society of St. Vincent de Paul – Furniture Assistance / Pickup

Address: Multiple thrift store locations throughout St. Louis (contact to locate nearest)

Services: Provides vouchers for beds/mattresses, assistance with household goods while available, and accepts furniture donations which support assistance programs.

Hours: Donation docks typically Mon, Wed, Fri & Sat 10:00 am–6:00 pm; varies by store.

Waymaker’s Chapel for the Exceptional – Free Store

Services: Free store offering furniture and household items by appointment to individuals and families in need.

New Life Evangelistic Center – Free Store & Household Goods

Services: Free store with clothing and small housewares; furniture availability varies — call to ask about household furniture assistance.

The Sharing Shed (via partner agencies)

Services: Collects and distributes furniture and household items in a “store-like” environment for clients referred through nonprofit partners.

Services: A city-compiled list of charities that accept furniture and household items, which often redistribute to people in need.

Society of St. Vincent de Paul – Everyday Needs (Bed Program)

Salvation Army Family Stores (Furniture Assistance/Vouchers)

Services: Thrift stores sell donated furniture at reduced cost; emergency assistance vouchers might be available through local Salvation Army service centers.

Hours: Store hours vary by location (typically 10:00 am–6:00 pm).

Services: Free or low-cost furniture listings by community members available via craigslist.org and local community boards, helpful for homeless re-settlement or immediate needs.
